Smith has over 30 years of experience in commercial banking and has held senior positions at Citibank and City National Bank. In his new role, Smith will focus on managing a portfolio of commercial clients and delivering financial solutions.
Hingham resident Peter F. Smith has been appointed as Senior Vice President in Brookline Bank’s Commercial (C&I) Banking Group. With over 30 years of experience in commercial banking, Smith has a wealth of expertise in delivering a wide range of financial products to the upper and lower middle markets in New England. He most recently held senior positions at Citibank and City National Bank, where he developed long-term banking relationships across various segments of the commercial banking space.
In his new role, Smith will be responsible for managing a portfolio of commercial clients and delivering the bank’s full range of financial solutions. His experience and understanding of the local market are expected to greatly benefit the bank and its clients. David L’Heureux, Executive Vice President and Commercial Banking Division Executive, stated that Smith brings not only expertise in fostering client relationships but also demonstrated leadership and team-building skills to the C&I Group.
Peter F. Smith holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business from the University of Maine and has been active on New England trade boards. He also participates in various community services in Hingham, where he resides.
